WHY invest our hard earned money into technology?
- Students of all grades will be able to use this system
- SRS (Student Response System "clickers") work like a video game
- Online testing may be the way of the future. EEMLA (Early Elementary Mathematical Literacy Assessment) is changing. It will now be completely assessed by computers. I see a wave of online standardized testing in the near future. We can get on board now.
- CES is a high tech school - we have the capabilities of being leaders in these new developments
- Home and School raises money for the children. Money raised is spent on class trips, playground equipment and now we need to invest in the future! Parents want to know where the money is going and have a goal.
- Online testing allows students to work at their own level, mastering the skills in math they need in order to progress forward.
- SRS are a means to quickly assess what students know and focus on the skills they need.
- Using technology reaches students who are visual learners. Did you know that 65% of our students are visual learners?
- Hands on learning is critical.
- Practice makes perfect they say...and students enjoy practicing on the computer!
- It will help us meet our School Improvement Plan goals
